Police Investigate Fatal Shooting Outside Trenton Bar

Authorities in Mercer County are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Trenton, leaving one man dead and another injured, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Theresa L. Hilton.JamaicanTrenton police were called to Al Lee’s Bar and Lounge on Dickinson Street around 1 a.m. on December 8 in response to reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said officers learned that a dispute outside the bar had escalated, leading to multiple shots being fired.

A 40-year-old man from Willingboro, New Jersey, was found to have been transported to a hospital in a personal vehicle, where he is being treated for several gunshot wounds.

A second victim, identified as 47-year-old Kristoffer Givens of Ewing, was discovered nearby on Olden Avenue with a gunshot wound.

Givens was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Trenton Police Department are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
