Authorities in Newark are currently investigating an early morning stabbing incident that occurred in the city's South Ward on Sunday.
Preliminary reports indicate that police were dispatched to the area of 859 South 15th Street after receiving reports of an injured individual at approximately 2:20 a.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a person bleeding from a stab wound.
WMS took the person to the hospital for treatment, and the victim is reportedly in stable condition.
The motive behind the attack remains under investigation as law enforcement officials work to piece together the events leading up to the incident.
At present, no arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing.
