Police in Newark are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred early Thursday morning at a location within the Second Precinct.
According to initial reports, officers responded to 430 Holiday Court shortly after 12:15 a.m. following a call about an aggravated assault in progress.
Upon arrival, officers found one individual suffering from a neck wound sustained during an altercation with another person.
The victim was transported to University Hospital, where they were reported to be conscious and alert. A second individual involved in the incident was also taken to the hospital for evaluation, though their injuries did not appear to be serious.

Authorities have confirmed that the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The motive behind the altercation remains under active investigation by Newark police.
Officials have not released the identities of those involved, and no arrests have been announced at this time.
