Paterson Police are currently investigating an aggravated assault stabbing that occurred early this morning in the 40's block of East Railway Avenue.
The incident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. and had a fast response from law enforcement.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an individual with a stab wound to their neck.
The victim, who remains unidentified, was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for medical treatment, where reports indicate that the victim is in stable condition.
At present, authorities are working to determine the motive behind the stabbing.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident thus far, as the investigation remains ongoing.
Residents are encouraged to provide any information they may have regarding the incident to assist the police in their efforts to apprehend those responsible.
