Trenton police are investigating an early morning drive-by shooting that left a man injured on Sunday.
Gunfire erupted around 12:50 a.m. near 633 Genesee Street, prompting officers to respond to the scene.
Upon arrival, police found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his back.
He was transported to a regional medical center, though the severity of his condition has not been disclosed.
According to initial reports, authorities believe a dark-colored vehicle carrying four Black males approached the area and fired multiple rounds, one of which struck the victim.
No other injuries were reported.
The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation, and the suspects are still at large. Police are continuing to gather information as the case remains active and ongoing.
