Police in Glen Ridge are investigating reports of an attempted robbery that occurred in the borough overnight.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred just before 8 p.m. on Essex Avenue where a black male suspect reportedly brandished a handgun at an unidentified person and attempted to rob them.
The suspect then sped away from the scene in a dark-colored BMW reports said.
Glen Ridge Police are investigating.
