An armed robbery of a commercial establishment in Midtown Elizabeth has police on the scene investigating.
According to authorities, at around 11 a.m., a male suspect ,who was armed with a sharp object, entered the Payless Shoe Source that's located in the 80's block of Broad Street and announced a hold up.
The suspect reportedly took an undetermined amount of cash after he demanded an employee to open the cash register.
He then fled the scene towards the train station authorities said.
The suspect was last observed wearing blue jeans, and a grey sweater when he ran from the seen.
There were no physical injuries reported.
