An armed carjacking that occurred in a Newark neighborhood has police on the search for suspects this evening.
The accident took place at around 4:30 pm in the 300 block of North 7th Street sending police to the scene where they began a citywide search for two black males who stole grey Nissan Altima at gunpoint shortly before officer's arrival.
The vehicle has a Nj license plate number "L37-GUM".
The suspects reportedly fled eastbound on 4th Avenue.
There were no physical injuries reported.
