Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that resulted in bullets striking a vehicle late Monday night, authorities said.The incident occurred around 10 p.m. near the intersection of River Street and Putnam Street.
Officers were alerted by a ShotSpotter device, which activated after gunfire erupted in the neighborhood.
Upon arrival, police discovered that bullets had hit a vehicle’s windshield.
Fortunately, the car appeared to be unoccupied at the time of the shooting, and no injuries were reported.
Officers canvassed the area, but no victims were found. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
The investigation is ongoing as police work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
