Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department announced today that authorities have identified the two men who died in the shooting which took place yesterday in the City.
Officials say Mr. Lionel Macauley, 28, of Somerset, and Mr. Anthony Robinson 23, of New Brunswick, have been identified as the two male victims who were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and died from the injuries they sustained in the shooting.
The Middlesex County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office performed the autopsies today and determined the manner of death for both victims, Lionel Macauley and Anthony Robinson, to be homicide.
The cause of death being a gunshot wound.
An additional victim in the shooting has come forward, bringing the total to nine victims. During the shooting this victim received minor injuries which did not require hospitalization.
Four victims remain hospitalized, three in stable condition and one in serious/critical condition.
