Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Edgar Javier, 20, of Newark, wanted for an aggravated assault shooting that occurred yesterday.
According to authorities, at approximately 5:20 p.m., police responded to the 300-block of North 6th Street on reports of a robbery with shots fired.
Responding officers located an unharmed male victim who had been shot at by a man during an attempted robbery.
Detectives investigating this incident developed sufficient evidence to charge Javier with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Robbery and Aggravated Assault.
Police described Javier as 5’7” tall, 185 lbs., light complexion, black hair and brown eyes.
While police are actively searching for Javier, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from the streets.
