Hillside Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Saturday evening.
According to police officials, on the evening of January 22, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery that took place at 231 Rt. 22 West in Hillside (Sunoco Gas Station).
Police officials said upon arrival, officers learned from a gas station employee that an individual brandished a handgun and took money from an employee’s pocket before fleeing the scene.
Police reported no physical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
