Police closed off a street in Elizabeth after a truck became stuck under a bridge earlier this afternoon.
It happened at around 2:30 p.m., near the intersection of North Avenue and Jefferson Street, when a truck that was used to deliver milk and dairy products did not meet the height requirement before it wedged under the bridge.
Police temporarily closed North Avenue from Jefferson to Pennsylvania Avenue so that crews could assist in freeing the truck.
The top of the truck was sheared off due to the incident.
There were no injuries reported.
