Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Christopher Baulch, 43, on arson-related charges.
Bergen County officials said at approximately 9:37p.m. on Thursday, May 12, the Lyndhurst Police Department received a report of a vehicle fire at the intersection of Valley Brook Avenue and Cleveland Avenue/
Upon their arrival, officers observed a Ford Escape engulfed in flames.
The fire was subsequently extinguished by the Lyndhurst Fire Department.
An investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Lyndhurst Police Department revealed that Baulch had intentionally set the fire.
He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
