Police in Montclair arrested two men for shoplifting hundreds of dollars in items from a business last week.
According to Lt. Terrence Turner, on March 9, Montclair Officers responded to the CVS on Claremont Avenue on a report of a shoplifting in progress.
Lt. Turner said the employees reported that two males entered the store and filled shopping carts and duffel bags with detergent and hygiene products.
One suspect fled before police arrived.
According to Lt. Turner, the other suspect, Mr. Kevin Ferri, 33, from Nutley, was apprehended inside the store by officers.
The suspect who fled, Mr. Daniel Bataille, 34, of Hackensack, was located on Pine Street. Lt. Turner said Bataille had the stolen proceeds on him.
The total amount stolen was approximately $656.00 in merchandise.
Lt. Turner said both men were charged with Shoplifting.
