Police took two females into custody and charged them with receiving stolen property after the pair was found asleep inside a stolen car in Newark's North Ward Saturday morning.
According to police, residents dialed 911 after observing two unconscious women inside a vehicle in the 300 block of Clifton Avenue around 8 a.m.
When police arrived at the scene, a registration check of the vehicle indicated that the car was reported stolen from an unspecified location.
The pair were arrested without further incident.
