Police officials in Newark have announced the arrest of a Brooklyn man who is a suspect in several carjackings in Newark and Elizabeth, during a spree from Oct. 13 to Oct. 16.
“Our detectives followed leads to Brooklyn, where they positively identified the suspect,” Ambrose said. “With the help of the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI, we were able to obtain search warrants and arrest warrants.”
Police arrested Jaheem Fulmore at his Brooklyn residence and he remains in Essex County jail as detectives work to identify his co-conspirators.
“Carjacking is a serious, often violent offense that puts the public and police at risk,” Ambrose said. “Our detectives did a great job getting this carjacker off the streets.”
