Newark Police report the arrest of Miguel A. Cartagena, 47, of Newark, in connection with an incident of criminal mischief that occurred on August 19.
According to police officials, at approximately 7:20 a.m., a concerned citizen advised 2nd Precinct police that a man had been throwing rocks at three different vehicles parked near the precinct.
Police said that the responding officers observed damage to the rear windshield of one vehicle and damage to the front windshield of two other vehicles.
According to police, detectives identified Miguel A. Cartagena as a suspect in this incident and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
He was brought into custody without incident today after being arrested at Newark Penn Station. Cartagena faces three counts of criminal mischief, police said.
