A 20-year-old Newark man wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred June 22, was taken into custody today, according to police.
According to police, shortly after 10:55 a.m., officers responded to Cash Money Mini Market, located at 110 Littleton Avenue, on a robbery call.
An armed male suspect entered the store and stole cash from the store clerks before fleeing the scene on foot.
Detectives developed sufficient evidence to identify Mr. Ken Gunter as a suspect of the armed robbery then obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Detectives arrested Mr. Gunter today without incident and charged him with Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
