Police took a man in custody for the fatal shooting of a Jersey City on Tuesday.
According to authorities, on May 12, at approximately 1:40 p.m., detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office arrested **Dominique Green,23, of Jersey City**, in connection with Tuesday’s shooting death of Rasheed Raysor on Woodlawn Avenue in Jersey City.
Police arrested Green on Bramhall Avenue, and Ocean Avenue in Jersey City authorities said.
Police charged Green with Murder a first-degree crime; Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose a second-degree crime; and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm a second-degree crime.
Authorities said on May 9, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Jersey City Police Officers responded to Woodlawn Avenue for multiple 911 calls of shots fired in the area.
Upon officers' arrival, they found Raysor's lifeless body at 95 Woodlawn Ave.
Raysor suffered several gunshot wounds to the upper body during the incident.
Medics pronounced him dead at the scene at approximately 3:50 p.m.
The Medical Examiner determined the cause of death as gunshot wounds and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
