A 21-year-old New Brunswick man was arrested over the weekend after an apparent road rage incident.
Friday, during the late afternoon hours, a caller reported that a male subject had just drove past him in front of the North Village Shopping Center and displayed a handgun.
The caller provided police a vehicle description and license plate number after the suspect fled towards Route 1 south.
A nearby patrol officer observed the vehicle almost simultaneously as the information was broadcasted. Despite the suspect's attempt to flee, the officer was able to stop the vehicle.
The uncooperative driver was secured, and later arrested.
Police allegedly recovered the gun that was displayed, as well as other weapons including a Airsoft pistols.
According to police, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of illegal drugs were also seized.
The driver, identified as Emmanuel Cruz, 21, of New Brunswick, was arrested and charged with multiple charges, and is being held under bail.
