A Plainfield man wanted for the alleged shooting of a Newark man on July 13 is in custody, according to police.
According to police, sometime around 4 p.m. yesterday, Rodjoun Caver, 31, turned himself into the Union County Sheriff's department.
Caver was charged a with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, aggravated assault and certain persons not to have weapons.
Caver was charged with the above offenses after detective’s determined that he was the person who shot the unarmed Newark resident on the 300 Block of Liberty Street on July 13th, at approximately 1:30 p.m.
He is currently in the Union County Jail on a $800,000.00 bail.
