Firefighters in Plainfield responded to a smoke condition inside a business in the city on Saturday morning.
Crews responded to 1140 South Avenue for reports of a fire inside the Rick's Wine & Liquors store at approximately 1:20 a.m.
Firefighters arrived t find the fire inside the business that was attached to a car dealership.
Firefighters were able to knock flames down in under an hour with a search of the structure coming back negative for trapped or injures occupants.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
