These images are of the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway, near mile marker 142, in Union where this pickup truck collided with a salt spreader truck a short time ago.
The incident came into our information space shortly before 8:42 a.m. and had the driver of the pickup truck suffer some non-life threatening facial injuries according to reports.
The driver was able to get out of the pickup truck without the assistance of emergency responders.
The crash caused about a two-mile delay on the highway for the police investigation.
Weather is assumed to be apart of the cause but authorities are urging motorist to be observant while driving and keep an adequate following distance, especially as the storm intensifies.
