Police in Asbury Park are investigating a violent stabbing that sent one person to the hospital overnight.
According to authorities, a fight that involved several people broke out at around 3 a.m. on Washington Avenue had units rushing to the scene where officers found one person suffering serious injuries after being stabbed multiple times.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where their injuries were not immediately reported to be life threatening according to reports.
Police questioned several people in the area but it is not clear if any arrests were made.
The investigation is open and ongoing authorities said.
