A physical altercation involving several people that broke out inside a park has authorities in Montclair investigating.
The incident was reported to authorities a little after 8:30 p.m. at the Glenfield Park located in the teens block of Maple Avenue when cops were called to the scene on reports of several parties engaged in physical combat.
Officers from the Montclair Police Department and the Essex County Sheriff's Department arrived within minutes and noticed a gathering of several people at that location.
Cops were able to disperse the crowd then provide medical assistance to one person who suffered an unspecified injury due to the altercation reports said.
One other person was treated by EMS for a breathing condition according to reports.
Police are attempting to determine the motive for the altercation.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
