Authorities in Paterson are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting near a local supermarket that left one man injured Saturday.
A Paterson Police unit was flagged down near 31 Memorial Drive and alerted to the incident close to the Supermarket.
Officers responding to the scene found an unidentified male who had been shot in the thigh and wrist. Police are trying to determine if the victim was shot in the area of 121 North Main Street, which is several blocks away.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. No other injuries were reported.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, and police are urging anyone with information to contact the Paterson Police Department.
