Police in Jersey City are investigating a pedestrian strike that sent two people to the hospital overnight in the city.
Emergency responders rushed to the area of Christopher Columbus Drive and Coles Street at around 11 p.m. after receiving reports of pedestrians injured by a vehicle at that location.
Crews arrived to find an adult and a child suffering serious injuries according to reports.
The pair was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center where they were reported to be in serious but stable condition as of early this morning.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was not immediately issued a summons.
