East Orange Police are investigating a pedestrian strike that injured a person in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
Police and EMS were called to the intersection of Nassau Place and Central Avenue to investigate reports of a pedestrian strike at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the unidentified victim suffering injuries after being struck by a car while in a wheelchair.
Police say the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and in stable condition.
