On Wednesday night, a pedestrian was struck by a car in Newark's central ward, resulting in injuries reported to be non-life threatening.At around 7:30 p.m., police received a call to investigate an incident at the intersection of Lock Street and Warren Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, both police officers and emergency medical services (EMS) found a female victim with a leg injury. It was determined that she had been struck by a car at that location.
Fortunately, her injuries were assessed to be non-life threatening.
Police are investigating the incident. At this time, no further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the accident or the identity of the individuals involved have been released.
However, it has been confirmed that no other reported injuries resulted from the incident.
