There were no severe injuries reported for an incident where a pedestrian was struck by a car on an Irvington Township street on Sunday evening.
According to preliminary reports, Newark Police were flagged down by witnesses who reported to them that a pedestrian was hit by a car in the vicinity of 22nd Street and Springfield Avenue at approximately 10 p.m.
Irvington authorities and EMS were notified of the incident and arrived at the scene to assist the unidentified person.
The victim was transported to the hospital where doctors treated their injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
