A pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Irvington has police investigating.
Police responded to the 500 block of Stuyvesant Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. where they found the victim suffering injuries after being struck by a vehicle at that location.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital suffering life threatening injuries.
A police vehicle was observed being towed from the scene. It is not immediately known if the patrol vehicle was involved in the incident at this time.
In a separate incident, an assault with serious injuries that happened in the 400 block of Chapman Street had EMS transport one person University Hospital at around 11 p.m.
Police are investigating the assault and there were no immediate reports of arrests.
