There were non-fatal injuries reported for a pedestrian strike that occurred on a street in Elizabeth Monday evening.
According to police, the incident happened at approximately 8:10 p.m. in the vicinity of Chilton Street and Rahway Avenue where a car struck the unidentified victim causing severe injuries.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treated but is expected to survive according to reports.
The Elizabeth Police Department will handle the investigation.
