On Wednesday, a pedestrian was critically injured in an early morning accident in Edison. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. in the vicinity of Route 1 and Old Post Road.
Local authorities and emergency medical services quickly responded to the scene, where they found the injured pedestrian lying on the roadway. It was determined that a vehicle had struck the victim at that location.
For the safety of the victim and the ongoing investigation, the police decided to close all lanes on the busy roadway.
