The Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office is assisting local authorities in the investigation of a pedestrian strike that left a person seriously injured in Flemington on Sunday night.
Police responded to the intersection of Regional Court and East Main Street shortly before 8 p.m. after receiving reports of a person lying in the roadway.
Emergency responders, including fire and EMS, arrived and found the victim suffering from serious injuries.
The individual was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, though no further details on the extent of their injuries have been released.
Authorities temporarily closed the roadway for an active crash investigation.
