A pedestrian was killed after being struck by multiple vehicles on a highway in Mercer County Sunday night.
Police and EMS raced to the scene of a person struck by a vehicle on NJ-29 near Cass Street shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Emergency responders found a severely injured person lying in the roadway when they arrived.
Police say the victim was struck by as many as three vehicles which ultimately caused fatal injuries.
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office was alerted of the incident, but it is not immediately clear if any vehicles fled the scene.
Trenton Police officials will handle the investigation; no other injuries were reported.
