EMS transported a person to the hospital who was struck by a car on McCarter Highway in Newark on Tuesday evening.
It happened near Murray Street just before 8 p.m. where emergency found the unidentified person injured after a car struck them near the intersection according to authorities.
The extent of the victim's injuries were not immediately reported as life-threatening.
The incident remains under investigation.
