A pedestrian suffered non-fatal injuries after a vehicle struck them in a section of Newark's South Ward.
It happened around 9:45 p.m. in the area of Milford and Clinton avenues.
Communications dispatch notified emergency responders of a person struck by a car.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found the unidentified male victim suffering an arm injury at that location.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital for treatment and the male is expected to survive.
Police say the car that struck the victim sped away from the scene.
The incident is under investigation.
