There were non-life threatening injuries reported for a pedestrian who was struck by a car that reportedly fled the scene in Newark Sunday night.
According to preliminary reports, it happened near the intersection of Broadway and Bloomfield Avenue shortly before 10:50 p.m. where emergency responder found the injured victim at that location.
Police say the victim was struck by a silver or light colored car -possibly a Toyota Corolla- with a missing passenger side mirror that left the scene immediately after the collision.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where they are expected to survive.
The driver of the vehicle remains at-large.
