Paterson Police reported severe injuries for a pedestrian struck by a bus in a section of the city Wednesday evening.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the vicinity of 195 McBride Avenue to investigate reports of a person struck by a vehicle.
Police, fire, and EMS arrived and found an express mini-bus on top of a pedestrian at that location.
Firefighters were able to lift the bus off of the pedestrian and then hand the victim over to EMS to be transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment.
No injuries were reported to anyone on the bus, and the incident remains under investigation.
