Police in western NJ are investigating circumstances behind a pedestrian strike that seriously injured a person later Monday night.
It happened on Route 22 in the Warren County Township of Pohatcong around 11:30 p.m.
Police were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of a person injured in the eastbound lanes near St. James Avenue.
Emergency responders arrived and found the seriously injured victims lying on the ground after a vehicle struck them at the location.
Police closed all lanes on the highway for the investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
