There were non-fatal injuries reported for a pedestrian who was struck by a car in a neighborhood in Newark's North Ward on Thursday night.
According to police, emergency responders rushed to the 600 block of Mount Prospect Street, where they arrived and found the victim suffering severe injuries just before 9:45 p.m.
Police say the victim was rushed to the hospital where doctors began to treat their injuries.
The Newark Police Department is investigating the incident.
