A pedestrian struck by a vehicle overnight in Newark has police investigating.
Police and EMS were called to the area of Frelinghuysen Avenue and Virginia Street a little after 1 a.m. when calls for a person injured after being struck by a vehicle were called in to 911 dispatchers.
First arriving medical responders located the victim seriously injured according to reports.
The victims was transported to University Hospital reports said.
The investigation is active and on going.
