Hunterdon County authorities closed all lanes of a highway in Flemington after a pedestrian was severely injured by a vehicle Monday morning.
At approximately 2:20 a.m., Flemington Police officers were dispatched to NJ-31 near Route 202 to investigate reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found the unidentified victim suffering severe injuries after a vehicle struck them at that location.
Police said the injured was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center for treatment and remained under the care of doctors.
The crash is under investigation.
