Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Toms River Traffic Accident

Authorities in Ocean County are investigating a serious incident that occurred Saturday morning when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Toms River.AdThe collision took place in the westbound lane of NJ-37 near Coolidge Avenue.

Responding to the scene, police units found a pedestrian with severe injuries. The injured individual was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The full extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.

Following the accident, a portion of NJ-37 was temporarily closed to allow for an in-depth investigation. No other injuries were reported in the incident.AdThe investigation is ongoing as Toms River Police work to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
