Bergen County authorities are on the search for the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian on a roadway in Wood-Ridge Saturday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, police said at approximately 10 p.m., the unidentified guest attending a wedding at the Fiesta catering hall on Route 17 was struck by a car that sped from the scene.
Police say the impact caused fatal injuries and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash caused some delays on Route 17 while law enforcement agencies from Wood-Ridge and Bergen County investigated at the scene.
There were no other injuries reported.
