There were fatal injuries reported for a person struck by a car on NJ-33 in Manalapan Township Wednesday evening.
Police say, at approximately 7:22 p.m., emergency responders rushed to a section of the highway near Woodward Road to investigate reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, they found the unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive person in the roadway.
Medical personnel performed life-saving techniques, but the victim died a short time later.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
