Police in Rahway is investigating a fatal hit & run crash that killed a pedestrian on Monday.
According to Rahway Police, at approximately 2:59 a.m., a vehicle struck a pedestrian at the intersection of St. George's Avenue and W. Inman Avenue.
Police said after the suspect’s vehicle struck the pedestrian, it fled southbound, heading towards Woodbridge Township.
Police say the initial responding officers rendered medical aid to the victim, who succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The suspect vehicle was described as a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows and is believed to be a Nissan.
Police say the vehicle is suspected of damaging the front driver's side bumper and is believed to have a broken front driver's side window.
Police said this information is preliminary and is subject to change.
The crash remains under investigation by The Rahway Police Department Traffic Bureau.
