Police closed off a portion of U.S. 206 in Hillsborough Township as they launched an investigation into a pedestrian strike that left the victim dead last night.
Emergency responders and rescue crews were called to the 200 block of U.S. 206 at Partridge Road after they received calls for a person down on the roadway before 8 p.m.
Crews arrived at the scene to find the severely injured, unconscious, and unresponsive victim at that location.
After life-saving techniques were applied, the 40-year-old male victim was pronounced dead at the scene according to authorities.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene, and there were no official charges immediately reported.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
