Authorities in Paterson are investigating a pedestrian strike that injured one person near a city intersection Monday night.
The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. at Rosa Parks Boulevard and Ellison Street.
Police and EMS were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a pedestrian hit by a car.
Upon arrival, responders found the victim lying on the ground and bleeding heavily.
The individual was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Police have not released additional details at this time.
